How not to give up when writing without seeing results
Success doesn’t come easy. Success is random. Sometimes, it doesn’t even come.
Yes, that sucks, but that’s how life is, whether you like it or not.
Recently I read a very famous entrepreneur — I’m forgetting the name — that success is as much as about hard work and persistence as it is about luck.
This story is the same, it is not just peculiar to writing.
Having to work hard, consistently, sometimes for longer periods, is non-negotiable.
The sooner you realize it, the better equipped you will be for your future endeavors.
A few days ago I came across a blog post from a Medium writer who’d written and published for 7 months without seeing any progress.
Then suddenly, on the 8th month, things began to move upwards, and now he is quite successful.
What if he had quit in the 4th month, or the 5th month?
He wouldn’t have experienced the sort of success that he is experiencing now.
All that effort was worth it.
