A writer writing fast

Not always.

You’ve probably heard the advice: “Write every day.”

It’s everywhere.

Writers often boast about cranking out an article a day for a year.

Not a paid Medium subscriber? You can read this for free here.

I even said I might publish 700 blog posts on Medium in six months.

I’m realizing that was a bit much.

So, does it really matter if you write and publish every day?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Here’s what truly counts: consistency and frequency.

Consistency means showing up.

But not necessarily on a rigid schedule.

Some weeks, you may publish twice.

Other times, three or seven posts might flow out.

But you stay consistent.

No long silences.

You’re not posting every day one week and then disappearing for a month.

Frequency, on the other hand, is about rhythm.

Content creators making money often stick to a set frequency.

Decide on a schedule and keep it.

I don’t care much about being politically correct. Things are just right or wrong and yes, sometimes there are grey areas in this is why we write, don’t we?
