This is so beautifully written. In this highly polarised environment, we often end up quarrelling and fighting with family and friends because of our political leanings.

Political opinions are a serious matter. Who gets to rule us, what societal norms dictate our day-to-day living, can be a matter of life and death. So, I scoff at people who say "I stay away from politics".

No, you cannot stay away from politics even if you want to.

But by the end of the day, we are a part of a larger ecosystem of codependence.
