Writing is hard.

Writing things people actually want to read?

That’s even tougher.

If you’re like me, you’re writing everywhere.

It’s not just one platform.

I write on my blog, post daily on LinkedIn, comment here and there, and send out a weekly newsletter.

Not a paid medium subscriber? You can read this post for free here.

Lately, I’ve refocused on Medium, juggling both subscriber-only posts and free-for-all pieces.

And yes, I’m writing two books for clients while taking on some other projects.

It’s writing. All the time.

You might not be at it 24/7 like I am.

But you still need to write often.

Maybe every day.

The question is, how do you write stuff people really want to read?

1. Balance Quantity and Quality

First, let’s tackle a common dilemma: quality versus quantity.

It’s great to have perfect content, but waiting for perfection often means you end up publishing far too little.

I don’t care much about being politically correct. Things are just right or wrong and yes, sometimes there are grey areas in this is why we write, don’t we?
